Learn How You Can Train Your Brain: Master Sri Akarshana

“Not everyone is born into this world with equal opportunities, skills, and knowledge. But with the right training, anyone can achieve greatness and live with purpose.” This is one of Master Sri Akarshana’s most widespread messages, and it still rings true today.

His intention is clear: You don’t need to be born with a silver spoon to experience life to the fullest. Instead, it’s all about making the most of what you have, regardless of your background.

And, of course, everything starts with your mind. So how can you train your brain to ensure success in whatever endeavor you choose? Here are a few tips from Master Sri Akarshana, the Spiritual Master himself:

  • Practise mindfulness

Mindfulness is something that everyone can benefit from, regardless of their status in life. This practice allows you to focus on the present, accepting it openly and without judgment.

What’s great is that mindfulness has been researched extensively, and its benefits are deeply rooted in science. According to research, it can relieve stress, lower blood pressure, and reduce chronic pain.

Not only that, but mindfulness can also improve your mental state. Psychotherapists have found that it helps treat depression, substance abuse, eating disorders, and more!

You can start practicing mindfulness by paying attention to your surroundings and taking in the sights, sounds, and sensations all around you! Master Sri Akarshana also recommends that you dedicate at least an hour each day to these exercises.

  • Learn to breathe

Every living being is capable of breathing. However, doing it rightly (and not just for survival) is a different story.

To relax your mind, you must learn to take deep, deliberate breaths. First, practice staying still for a few seconds, inhaling through your nose until your lungs are full. Then, hold your breath for about three seconds, letting the oxygen flow through your body.

Once you feel complete, you can finally exhale. When done every day, this exercise can improve your blood flow, boost your immune system, and increase your energy.
